Everything You Need to Know

When should my puppy have its first professional grooming ?

“ For young puppies who have never been groomed before , The best time is to come when the pup has finished their 3rd vaccinations so the pup becomes acquainted with the salon environment , such as dryers ,clippers ,etc.. it’s important to get them to start early so we can help the pup being handled & to avoid grooming issues into adulthood. It would be easier for your future groomer and yourself while handling you pup at home.”

How often should I groom my pup ?

“ The first 6 months of life for a dog is like the first 5 years for a human ,we recommend a grooming session every 2-3 weeks for a long hair pup & one grooming session once per month for a short coated pup – This is to ensure they can be well brushed and taught during their grooming time with us.

Can I stay and be with my pup while they are being groomed ?

” We don’t recommend owners to stay until the grooming is finished ,the reason being is because while you are here ,your pups attentions will always be on you even many dog owners feel that their dogs are more comfortable with them around or that they can be of help during the bath and grooming, but the opposite is usually the case .As mentioned, when you are around, your dog will look to you for direction and commands by default which is not recommend by groomer since we always wants your pup to be safe & comfortable while having their little spa time, we will always updated you how your pup goes & inform you with a 15mins prior so you can be ready for the pick up.it like dropping the kid to the kindergarten! “

How often should I have my dog groomed?

Depending on different dog coats, generally speaking Breeds with long hair should be clipped every 4-6 weeks & this process is to ensure the hair is brushed properly to avoid the matting.”

*More brushing at home should be done. The idea is to ‘maintain’ the coat to avoid the fur being overgrown which coat can be matted and uncomfortable for the dog. Pre-booking your dog’s next appointment is strongly recommended to avoid having to wait for an available appointment when the dog needs it ‘now’!
